Judith was born in Jamestown, New York where the Foote Family has a huge connection. Her own Dr. Elial Todd Foote who was Jamestown's first physician, is buried in Lakeview Cemetery. Dr. Footes papers are kept in Chautauqua County at the historical society in Westfield, New York.

In 1980 she began working on her family history when she discovered letters written by Abram Foote to her grandmother in 1907. The letters were about the family book that was being put together by the Foote Family Association.

She wrote to the courthouse in Connecticut asking about Judge Abram Foote. She was directed to someone who informed her that there was a family association she could write to. Juddith joined the Foote Family Association around that time and has been working every since then on her family tree.

Judith graduated from the University at Buffalo with a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. She was a high school librarian and retired a disabled USMC veteran. Judith spends most of her time doing family history research on the computer. She has two children and two grand-children who she hopes will be in the next family book.
